Trying to find which shares may still be at such low prices that they may be worth a punt (a la Pendragon, which have gone from 1.7p to 30p in 3 months)

I would like to do some form of search, but not sure if there is a shares filtering search engine which would enable me to whittle this list down.

Any ideas?

Barclays stockbroker has a filter option to enable you to view shares at a 52 week low on any day, or you can search for shares within x% of their 52 week low or high

What if you want to find stocks that are at, say, 10% of their 52 week high? or at 10% of their Nov 2007 price.

Any simple way of filtering for that?

yes contrarian, assuming you use barclays stockbrokers you simply:

go to research, click on stock tools, then stock selector, build your own, and from there go to full screener

there youl find quite a selection of options for filtering, so if you want to find a co whos share price is 10% of what it was 12 months ago aka 90% drop then you enter 90% in the price rise/fall (12 months) box, this is available for quite a few time scales up to 5 years.

not sure if its possible to select a specific date, dont think so

theres so many options on there, well worth reading through them all
