Thought it had run out of fuel...10 litres put in wont start. RAC came and no fuel pumping. He couldnt even suck any up with squeezy ball thingy.
can anybody confirm this part number found on earlier thread for pump:-Bosch 0580464014?
Or is there a better one to compliment my FSE regulator?

When mine went (knocked the terminal off......don't ask) I sent it to RT to make sure I got the right one. That is take it to a lucas or bosche as it could be one of many?
Don't want to teach granny etc but is it definatly knackered? I had a kink in a fuel pipe once that caused a few problems but it was visably obvious. It was from the tank to swirl pot feed.

Cheers Jeff,
too dark to look last night. Got it dropped off at "one eyed Dave's"(my mechanic)he hasnt had chance to look at it yet.But fearing the worst I need to find out the best pump option for FSE.I took the short cut and didnt check its efficiency when I changed the regulator so will change it just for peace of mind.
And a special wish to you Pistol

The fuel pump comes from a Rover SD1, its the under floor one not the in the tank one for EFi. When I took mine apart recently it was a Lucus part and it had 4FP written on it. Not sure if that helps to find it or not, but my local Motor Factor found the bit quite easily with the above discription. Approximately £130 for a new one, if I remember correctly.

You will know if fuel is getting to the pump by disconnecting the inlet pipe to the pump and seeing if fuel runs under gravity.
