Whats the alloy radiator thing under the floor of an A3 TDI?

I noticed an alloy finned plate hanging down under the driver’s side of the car today. Seems the bolt holding it to the floor had pulled out. I have managed to secure it back in place with a bolt but I wondered what it was?

Any ideas? Looks to be a radiator of some sorts….
