Not needed GPS before, but going abroad and sat nav seems the way to go. Don't need traffic updates, don't want 'lane assist' re-route would be useful, don't want all singing all dancing, need European maps, just a good, clear, easy to use, bit of kit. Don't want monthly payments, and up to £130 or so seems reasonable.

Read a couple of posts and the Garmin Nuvi 255wt seems to get the thumbs up... but I am a numpty when it comes to these things.

Will get occasional use in the UK - most of my UK business travel is done by train...

Help appreciated.

No complaints about my Garmin 250w. Easy to use and gets the job done but I've never taken it into Europe yet.

Window mount is better quality than a couple of friends TomTom equivalents I've seen.
Lasts way better on internal battery only than their TomToms' too.

TomTom One with European maps? Pretty sure thats what my bro has and its an excellent bit of kit. Easy to use, clear etc.
