Been losing water recently, couldn't work out where from (saw some water on floor in garage but couldn't work out if it was just rain run-off). Then took it out couple of days ago and it over heated in traffic (steam out of header tank). Stopped at first garage & topped up, ran back OK. Went to go to the Suffolk meet today and checked water level - down again, then checked dipstick. White sludge (never seen before) at top and water droplets along length of stick, and water/oil mix on end of stick. I am assuming at least head gasket, possibly cracked block/liner or warped head.

Told my wife that we were using her Punto for the meet and why. Some would have gone balistic (more cost). Her immediate reaction 'Better for it to be off the road now than in the middle of the summer, let's go to the meet'. Very good reminder why I married her, top girl.

For those expecting gloom & doom, don't bother to look here. Cars superb and look forward to it being back on the road. Merry Christmas everyone, see some of you in the new year.

Hi Jerry,

Yes...not too good re the Cerb,

But as Teresa says...better in the winter than during the good part of the year!!!

She is a top girl...even funnier after a few drinks

Hope you all have a great Christmas and we look forward to seeing you at the Mid Essex meet....even if it is in the Punto
