Hose connections to heater on S3

I am thinking of replacing all hoses with silicon ones. Has any body found an easy access under the dash to the heater connections? What has to be removed? Is it possible?

Access behind S dash boards has been known to cause severe headaches.

Not to be attempted with Christmas hangover me thinks

However, if you decide to fight the beast I wish you the best of luck. Make sure you do not disturb the heating ducting, it has a mind of its own.
