This might be off-topic but possibly related as there are DIN sized satnav units out there, although the DIN unit in question I am using is not a satnav. I wish to replace a radio in a car with a DIN sized unit. The car was originally designed for double din and has a pocket under the radio, but double din is still smaller than 2 din units next to each other so I cannot relocate the radio there.

Does anyone know if there is a slim, or half DIN FM tuner suitable for a car available anywhere? So far all my searches turn up half din EQs or DVD players...

Any reason you're not fitting a stereo with a tuner? Just intrigued. I've never seen a half-din tuner, perhaps many years ago, probably because every stereo already has one. Is this a standalone tuner to connect to an aux in or one with amplification?

Though about a pocket FM tuner, find one with all the buttons & display on one face, and making up a bezel to mount/recess it into? Reception could be an issue- they tend to use the headphones as an antenna- poss experimentation needed with antenna-to-lead interfacing... another thing I'm sure I've seen is TV's that mount in visors/headrests with FM onboard.
