I'm not sure what all the fuss is about, it was the ressies that were playing and I'm sure they thought they just needed to turn up and they'd walk it, better it happens against that lot than better opposition that I presume this Romanian mob are.

Any reason why you were playing a reserve team? Surely the first team need to be playing games now with the season due to start in a couple of weeks.

Combination of suspensions, returnees from the Copa America being given a summer break, new signings being suspended / ineligible, injuries etc etc.

I watched all the game and we was well off the pace. I think a real showing of how important a rest and then a pre-season is worth to team.

Jarvis was probably our best player and put in a lot of crosses (not sure why though as Zarate isn't exactly tall!). Overall though Adrian wasn't exactly busy and you could see it was a 'final' to durka-durka.

As for the sending off......

Why is it a joke competition? The team that wins the tournament automatically qualifies for the Champions League. West Ham are simply out of their depth, even in the early qualifying rounds. Three red cards in 3 games is appalling and should automatically mean disqualification for a team that qualified on the flaky fair play rule.

Because we're playing a competitive pre-season in a competition that starts too early & is far, far to long and that is having an extremely negative impact on an important domestic season (good attendance notwithstanding).

The irony of coming in to the competition via fair play & subsequently picking up red cards isn't lost on me either - two of the cards appeared to be for nothing events though & are unlikely to have been reds or even bookings in the PL (I wasn't at UP last night so can't comment on the sending off).

I didn't go to the game either, don't think I'll be making it to many this season. I couldn't even find a stream last night, but I did get a text from the BBC app to tell me it was 2-2
