Hi Guys,

anyone own/use one of these trailers ?

potentially looking at getting one of these - also interested in how they compare to the brian james equivalent - the minno shuttle ?

the PRG seems lighter.. and cheaper obviously !! also available in a single axle which may appeal to make man handling around the house and over a small kerb on my own a possibility....

interested to hear from anyone that owns one.......

Mark.

We have a Minisporter shell fitted to a Brian James Trailer its a good bit of kit. We had it fitted last year. It is much lighter and it lifts up from the front of the trailer to allow access to the front wheels of the car to strap it down properly.

PRG have done work for us on our race lorry too and I would highly recommend them.

also used PRG in the past and had no problems - good guys.

however, i'd never *ever* trailer a car with a single axle trailer - I think we got through about 4 or 5 tyres on our prosporter in a 2 year period - any one of those blow-outs could have been a disaster on a single axle trailer.

On a double axle, you can raise the front pair off the ground with the dolly wheel, which turns it into a single axle and nle to be turned single handed.

thanks guys... seems like a good bit of kit.

would love to know where the significant weight saving between the PRG and the brian james minno shuttle is - maybe the PRG is lighter guage.. and much lighter GRP.

Thanks for the comments guys

There is a difference of about 10mm on the thickness of the GRP shell.

that will certainly account for a fair bit..

does the GRP feel flimsy - i.e. you wouldn;t want to leave it 'up' too long for fear of the wind getting under it etc and doing damage ?

lighter the better - its only there to protect and provide a layer of cover at the end of the day..

got the same minno conversion with prg top. Feels pretty darn solid to me and I leave it up on the gas struts if I'm on a day out, unless security or high winds are bothering me.
