Hi, just wondering if any one is keen to do a car swap for the bank holiday weekend?
I have a Black BMW E92 M3 (see profile) with Eisenmann Exhaust (c430 bhp) but was wondering if anyone wants to do a swap for the bank holiday weekend?

All it would involve would be insuring each other on the car and handing over the keys for a few days...
Let me know if you have are interested? (Cars of £35,000 and above only please...)
Thanks Tom

Would you not want to propose a mileage cap - are you comfortable with someone else potentially caning your car from cold, tracking it, launching it, taking off a few mm of rubber, bouncing it off the rev-limiter..... etc etc

I assume you're quite a trusting type of bloke ?!!

+1

I read it and thought - Wind up? People would use your car with the same respect as a hire car.

What if you find a scuff or slight kerbage that wasnt there before - but you are told 'it wasnt me'

Got to be a wind up. Having owned a E92 M3 myself before I could get shut of it, I would have done most things to get rid.

Just curious you had an LP640 and now have an M3 and where did the £35K figure come from?

35k is what i recon the car is worth now, and there is not much else that i would be keen to drive worth less....

Well i rented a Lambo for a week when i got married... thought that could go in my prev cars. Proper monster.

Fair play, Tom, don't let the cynics grind you down. But it is a scenario prone to problems as has been mentioned. You'd spend more time writing the contract than driving the swapper if you wanted it to be genuinely watertight and unless it's a company car or in warranty there is a mechanical risk that many wouldn't like to take. I've paid for two engine rebuilds in my meagre car ownership career, and neither has been quick, cheap or fun wink

I reckon it would be cheaper to rent a 997 than work out the insurance package and the hassle..

Really, I would rather lend you my fiancée for the weekend.

In fact, I would be interested in some kind of trade in deal if you want..... whistle
