I have windows XP, and internet explorer 6.0. On my client i have all the graphics, i can see for example all the grey lines, boxes and graphics on this site. But when i go to a different client, all i can see is the text and none of the backgrounds, this also occurs on some other sites too.

I think it's either an internet setting that has been changed or something to do with a java plug-in, but i'm not too sure - and it's time consuming to compare clients to look for the difference.

So does anyone know what's wrong?

Appreciate the help

Thanks Gary

IIRC there is a setting for "show pictures" on IE..... got fed up with it though, and use Mozilla.

....just checked. try tools|internet options and then on the advanced tab scroll down to the multimedia section.... second from bottom is a "show pictures"

Hope this helps.

I looked at the setting and show pictures was already ticked. I think i may have to do a tedious comparison.

One thing i noticed is that i have a java icon in the bottom of my screen which i did as a plug-in a few months ago and it's not on the other client. This could be the problem, but websites worked without it before. So i'm not sure where to go from here.

Appreciate any more suggestions

Thanks Gary

not having java will only stop you seeing java applets.... and you'll get a meaningful placeholder instead usually.
only a thought, but is there any kind of web proxy in front of one and not the other? I can't think of anything else off the top of my head that would stop the pictures. Will have a think and let you know if I come up with anything.....
