I guess it's a play on two-doors, i.e. A Two'door Skoda, which, talking of sheds brings to mind Arthur "two-sheds" jackson. I wonder if he had twp Volvo 245's on his drive! Rich...

Apparently the name harks back to a car they made in the 1950's. Not sure if the modern car will be classed as mock Tudor.

Bit like the old Yamaha "Tedium" (TDM) then

"Tudor" in French has the same pronunciation as "Tu dors" which means "You sleep"

Lets not mention MR2 in French or the Opel Nova (Corsa really).... Then there was the Citroen BX TR which gained a diesel engine - called the TRD on the continent - called the TZD here! Wonder why.

As for the Skoda - looks OK to me. Shame it wont go into production then. Something very "CLK"esque there. Still thats not a bad thing and if it had some decent engines I am sure that it would sell well. Lets think on how many competitively priced Coupes there are out there?

1) Peugeot Coupe - nice but getting on now
2) BMW 3 series - nice but very pricy
3) Merc CLK - if you think that the BMW is bad!!!
4) Err???

Could make a tidy profit out of them.. I wouldnt buy one, but I know a few people that would.

Cheers,

Paul

I really quite like it. Pity they've no plans to produce it.

And presumably, if they were then they would be bought by people who couldn't afford a real Tudor car.

(I once asked someone this about their (Mock Tudor) house. He didn't get the joke, and I wish I hadn't bothered.)

Because of the square grill if you squint your eyes (a lot) and stand back (about half a mile) this could almost be (dare I say it) an Asto... no, I really can't say it.

Will it have wooden beams in the headlining ? Looks good - be even better with the W12 under the bonnet.

Nice lines... has a bit of Masser 3200GT on the rear 3/4's...

Shame they won't build it, but then the Skoda stigma still seams to be hanging around... shame.
