I used to use kazaa and after a while away from it I decided to reinstall it and give it another whirl. The amount of bundled crapthat came with it and the limiters on its use, I just cant justify screwing up my pc for a few songs.

Soooooo.... Are there any Programs out that are like the early version of kazaa (eg Pre takeover)

I just want to download a few songs without opening my pc up to thousands of popups etc. (you cant even delete them as kazaa knows you have and wont run!

Cheers

Where do I find Winmx?

I want to stop using any forms of KAzaa as it seriously PI$$ES me off.

After running ad-aware it found 36 items
I had run ad aware 5hours before and cleaned 128 items

RIP Kazaa

There's other file share sites out there. If you want the old Kazaa type web site try Grokster.com, it's connected to Kazaa but you'll find the GUI is different, or at least it used to be.

Bearshare - not as nice but does the job.

Kazza lite is fine but I don't think it is about anymore, none of their websites were working just before Christmas, if you have it on your system it still works though, wondering if they have been busted?

I gave up on Kazaar after it killed my computer!!
Now using Ares. Just as good but without the bugs and popups!

Ares uses the Gnutella network, if you get Shareaza you'll have a popup free P2P file sharing prgram using the Gnutella network but also the eDonkey network connected as well.

I have tried most of the P2P networks, using my 2mb broadband connection I was always frustrated by th lack of speed. then I came across BitTorrent
It´s regularly running at full capacity, quick is hardly the correct word
