So I stopped off at the Ace Cafe at midday, with no idea what was on. That was until I arrived and saw more Capri's in one place than I've ever seen, as it was for the 40th Birthday of said car.

I stUmbled upon this standard looking car. Well, apart from a large hole in the bonnet.. A bloke from FastFord magazine was talking to the owner and asked him was horsepower is was pushing out. The guy almost dismissed the question, to which the FF guy said:"Or do you not play that game?"

A minute later, and the print out below is displayed in the windscreen...a WTF moment. He said it does the 1/4 mile in 11 flat, with road tires on...and 10.4 on slicks.. And not forgetting to mention, there were 2 baby seats in the back. Lucky kids!! :-)

According to the dyno chart, its a supercharged 5.7?
Corvette power perhaps?

Nevertheless, an impressive figure and some nice times. Looks hard as nuts on the Escort Cosworth wheels too!

That belongs to a mate of mine, named Ray, it is Ford powered, stroked 351 Windsor, Pro-Topline heads & a Paxton blower. It ran a mid 10 at over 130 mph at Santa Pod earlier this year & he is building a more powerful motor for it! mad

Eeeek.

My mate had a 2.8i with a Swaymar 3.1 Essex in it instead of the Cologne.

Handful wasn't the word.

Noisy didn't really capture it either.

Is this the closest thing the UK has ever had to a muscle car?

How heavy is it? I'd have thought it would do better than 10.4s on slicks.
