I found myself lost in London last week until, of course, I encountered this majestic vista:

Good effort. clap

Mrs Blib was actually in the Shard on Monday night for some City Lawyery thing. Even though I gave her strict instructions, she forgot to take any photographs.

The split has been amicable so far.

Then you're clearly not sufficiently upset.

Took this today:

It's starting to look a bit lonely over there, on the wrong side of the river...

Interesting things:

1) What's the new, small tower to it's South East?
2) How tall is the Helter Skelter going to be? It looks *huge* in this model.

1) Not sure - I don't think this is being built at the moment

2) 288m http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Pinnacle_(London) - c.f. 309m for the Shard

Yup - there's quite a few unbuilt towers in that model. The second Leadenhall Street tower (the "diamond?" - something like that, anyway) can be seen just to the left of the Gherkin.

It's never going to be built

That building to the SE looks like it is located to the East of Guys hospital on St Thomas Street.

Located between Guys and the UK Border Agency or on he site of UKBA, aligns with the old Weston St that will become the new London Bridge concourse.

They will also be taking down the building to the SW of the Shard, and behind the NoW building.

I have seen some people walking around in the site over the last couple of weeks (perhaps relating to the new design/build). Also, one of the cranes has definitely moved position (I think...)

Looks amazing, any idea how long it will be lit up like that for?

Hiscox had seismic sensors in the basemen measuring the vibrations from the 30ton excavators at the time.

To lunch today at Gordon Ramsey's Union Street Cafe. I managed to capture this from the street outside.
