Good luck to you guys&girls for Elvington as its only 8 months away now, i really think its time that the American iron should show the cynics what we are all about as you viper owners did last year.

I prefer to be inspired...........very inspired!

Seems to me like the gauntlet has been thrown down/laid.

venom500, I thought you are going to use an 8 second Diablo? Anyway, what are the specs of the Vipers in TEAM VIPER? Mod lists, specs, timeslips, dyno sheets, images, movies/audio clips won't go amiss - I don't ask for much!

I think you're forgetting Team Max Power Nova! Be afraid, be very afraid. Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water. A long time ago in a distant galaxy...sorry.

In my experience

Supercharging = Unreliability

I look forward to beating those Vipers

If someone is actually going to the trouble and expense of shipping a car to the US for work, Id like to think its coming back with at least 1000bhp.

its no secret Steve's car will be naturally aspirated
and kicking out around 800+ bhp built to a very high standard by a big name tuner so that it should be also extremely reliable, his car leaves the UK this coming week

Arent there bolt on supercharger kits that can offer that kind of power ?? Seems like a lot of expense to go to, for a relatively small gain.
Im not saying 800bhp isnt a lot, but compared to what is on offer with some supercharger and turbocharger kits, it is quite mild.

The car isn't being sent to John Hennessey/HMS for work, is it? Being fair, he has done 1000TT conversions (obviously his most expensive product) for many customers and to a good standard, and has not ripped those customers off as he has done so in the past (he is also paying off his debts to creditors), but the interesting thing to note is that this work has been done for customers in the same state as him, and he hasn't ripped off anyone in his own state strangely. Sending a car overseas to him from someone in another country would increase the risk. Tuners like SVS, DLM, Heffners Performance, BTR Performance, and RSI are household, and trusted, names, in the Viper tuning market.

There are also turbocharger and supercharger kits which are making over 800HP, and even over 1200HP and spinning tires at 150mph. I suppose the tuners who offer these sort of kits are making 750BHP'ish N/A (which I've seen done), and then bolting on twin turbos or twin superchargers to make over 1000BHP. Single bolt on supercharger kits, which don't require a new fuelling infrastructure, have made 600RWHP (about 700BHP at the crank), but twin supercharger kits which are obviously more complex and more expensive and require a new fuelling system, have made over 1000BHP.

Steve is old skool, he just didnt want NOS,TT or SC.

Don't worry HMS isnt carring out the work, I dont think anyone in the UK club would be foolish enough to go that route

Suppose one good thing though, the power delivery a N/A should offer, should give more traction that a S/C or Turbo option would.

What do Vipers rev like as standard?? Will this engine be a high revver to get the power ??
