Once a friend of mine fell asleep while he was on the fast lane on a 4-lanes section of the "boulevard périphérique" around Paris; actually he had managed to stop the car before -ing (fortunately!). The chap behind him stopped and went to wake him up; eventually he managed to take the first exit...

This is obviously rubbish. How can drugs be involved in fatal accidents? I thought we had all had it drummed into us that speed and nothing else kills! How am I supposed to know whether to speed or take drugs?

Hhhmm... if cannabis has such a detrimental effect on driving, how come I'm so much better at Gran Turismo 3 after a cheeky number ???
Seriously though, in small doses cannabis increases awareness and sensitivity, how can that be a bad thing ? I certainly wouldn't drive after
smoking a kilo or two, but the only problem I've ever had with driving after a wee toot is being arsed to get out of the armchair in the first place.

They're now talking about making cannabis legal because it costs too much to enforce the current law.

It costs bloody millions to track down and try each murderer so expect that to become legal in the not too distant future as well.

Now, if we could set up "cannabis cameras" and use the fines collected to pay for them, that would be different

I'll second that. The only NATURAL highs are from within, caused by external stimulus. Eg, Sports car or bike. Nothing else comes close! 2 hours in/on yer motor is 10 quid of petrol, and leaves you feeling like a god. Bet that's better than hard drugs.
