Think you will try buy him off us? what would you say he is worth - remember you bid 14m for borini last year
I think with a good run of games he could be a very good signing. He hasn't had a look in at Liverpool and his contract expires next summer so I think could be worth a cheeky 2-3 million bid.

Afternoon you lot.
What made Dick change his mind? Any ideas? A week ago retirement and now a one year contract. A big bag of cash is the obvious answer, but surely he'd already have been offered that?
Seems a little odd.
You might think so, but it could be that he always wanted to do it - but took the decision to stand by his promise to his wife and walk at the end of last season. And then, perhaps, on reflection, his good lady wife could see the reality of the situation and they've now agreed to compromise - a one-year contract is hardly a long term commitment is it?What made Dick change his mind? Whatever the driver, I'm personally pleased with the situation - there are not too many options out there at the moment, and attracting top-level talent to Sunderland has never been easy....

Suspect the bag got bigger and bigger and bigger. What made Dick change his mind? Any ideas? A week ago retirement and now a one year contract. A big bag of cash is the obvious answer, but surely he'd already have been offered that?

The difficulty is that choosing a manager is a lottery. If the next one wasn't Advocaat and also wasn't any good, someone is going to be for the chop.
Advocaat is now the safe choice for the board.
In the 'nobody ever got fired for choosing IBM' sense.

Well that was fking dreadful. The worst thing is that the stats suggest a fairly even game, shots, posession, corners etc all fairly balanced.
fking useless
As a Canary, my heart goes out to you. Seriously. As you say, the stats lie - you were so inept you made Norwich look like Barcelona. Looks like a looonnngggg season ahead for you.fking useless
