I believe it is bigger than and has a greater population than most British islands.

They're getting Kate Moss and that other funny little guy who looks about 12 (forget his name)to take the maiden voyage.

And since this is in the Corvette section, wot yoo tryin' to say? LOL.

Hey Tony for once we can build something Bigger than the Americans .
From what i have read she's about 3 times the size of the Titanic and taller than 'Nelsons column' and when she pulls into New york you will be able to look the 'Statue Of Liberty in the eye from one of the upper decks.

Heard a reporter on TV the other day talking about her size, her maiden voyage and how unsinkable she is.

Not built in uk though cos we can't make stuff like this anymore. Impressive I agree but its not got the lines of the old ones though e.g. France, QE2, United States etc...

I spent 2 happy days down at So'ton Docks - part of the Counter Terrorist Search Team - ensuring no-one was planning to blow up Betty Windsor.
As far as the boat goes - absolutely bleedin' huge - but as some have said, not all that special from the outside, more like a giant P&O ferry - nowhere near as sleek as the QE2.
The most amazing thing was the temporary theatre built for the ceremony - £2 MILLION it cost!!! Not surprising - it was a complete operational theatre - video screens, lighting gantries, you name it. Really quite incredible.
