Any of you guys going to the PH meet on the 24th. Mainly Tivs but they shouldn't have it all their own way. Anyhow, a couple will probably need a lift home as they would have exceeded their service interval getting there

When and where UV?

I'll clear the back seats in bring a full tool kit and tow rope if that'll help some of 'em

Look on the events and meets forum. There are maps and directions included. Would include it here but don't know how.

Oh, for those going it is likely that you will have to answer questions about your car. Remember, that to compare like with like you'll need to times your BHP by 1.4

OK, i'll stop now

Guys,

Thanks a lot, I hope you can make it. I'd love a look at some of your cars and although I got there and back under my own steam last time, I may not be so lucky this time.

UV, if I remember you're up near H Wycombe - if so it won't be too much of a detour for you to tow me home as I realise my TVR is living on borrowed time reliability wise. If you can't bring a trailer an A Frame will do - oh you do have a tow bar fitted don't you?

Cheers,
JSG.

It does remind me of a Clarkson experiment. He raced, over ¼ of a mile, a tuned Range Rover towing a trailer with a Focus on top, against a standalone focus.

I suspect with Porsches 'experiment' in the 4*4 world an OE tow bar shouldn't be difficult to get hold of

I heard that as the Cayenne has been so well received Porsche are going ahead with the launch of their new caravan and therefore all 911s will now come with a Volvo style detachable tow bar as standard - it will be an option for the Boxter.

Sold the Porker on Friday, awaiting delivery of 993 (hopefully today/Toms) so missed the meeting (thought of coming in the missus's Fiesta but wouldn't want to upset the TVR boyz by out-doing them on the exhaust note)

Was coming back from Slough on the M4 and noticed a couple of Griffs wazzing past me and then came across a broken down Boxster being pushed up the A404!! What's the world coming too.

If you were a PH member I'm really sorry I didn't stop to give you a push, was running really late.
