Majority of Europe, Egypt, Oman, Iraq, Kuwait, UAE, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Afghanistan, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, Brazil, Uruguay, USA, Canada, Mexico and a few small islands as well. More than I thought when I started to think about it!

There's an interesting story I heard about a couple of guys that were attempting to go to every single place on earth, and the final place that they had to go to was a tiny island somewhere around the very south pacific (if memory serves). The problem was that the entire island was leased to the US military as some kind of naval base/weather monitoring station so was totally out of bounds. The two lads bought a boat, then sailed to within a few miles of the base, scuttled the boat then sent out a distress call. US navy rescued them, and took them to the island, thereby completing their list.

I had to use a list of countries in the end in case i missed a few. A lot of those were for work though and aren't really holiday destinations . Bang on 50. S. Korea and Brazil were the new ones this year.

ETA: Missed Algeria and Hong Kong before the Chinese were given it back, i was there for the handing over. So now 52 although HK could be disputed.

I think I win this - 87 countries. Some of them many times and others just the once. Latest new place was Macedonia two years ago.

The majority of the trips have been work trips. Favourite places: France, USA, Australia and Hong Kong. Love going to Ireland. Thanks but never again: Nigeria and Gaza Strip. Bad memories of Russia during the rouble crisis in 98 and in no rush to return.

Never been to India and never been to New Zealand both of which I would like to see very much. Hoping to go to Vietnam and Cambodia next year on holiday which will add 2 more.
