Just thought I would share photos of my new knob biggrin with u all

The Birds eye maple colour is uniform it is just the flash as it was with the top up in a lit garage. The chrome has AMG on it.

I know I need to getmecoat and get a life..............

I am used to it hehe

I know it is a bit sad but there are very few bits to nail onto the SLK and this is the first for a long time now.

Got it from the States - they have a leather one as well in case you don't have birds eye maple

http://www.formymercedes.com/mb_results.asp?model=...

Charged me $25 for shipping total was $134 which was about £86. I paid via PayPal but you can use credit card if you want. Took 6 days to get it no problem with customs.

Maybe a little pricey but it is top quality and solid. I could never find one in the UK.

I forgot to ask if they are easy to fix? must be reasonably straightforward but its always best to ask.

Took me a whole minute with no tools. Original has a twist off bottom section and then you pull up new one has a screw base which you take off put on the stick followed by the knob and then tighten. Trickiest bit was getting the base to screw on straight.
