Moss retail a modified rear oil seal for the crankshaft claiming you only have to drill one hole, can somebody please advise me what is involved and is this a job for the experienced do it yourselfer or does it have to be done by an expert, likewise does the engine have to be dismantled.

The rear seal fits snugly around the rear of the crankshaft to keep the engine oil from escaping.
When it leaks, either the engine or the transmission has to be removed to gain access to it for replacement, so getting at it in the first place will entail at least removal of the sump and probably separating the engine and gearbox too. The orignal T series seal design is not great and modified lip seals are the best way forward - best speak to one of the MG specialists who really knows what works and what doesn't and have raced the things as well (parts that you "just drill one hole" for, may have other unintended effects - try the likes of Malcolm Beer, Peter Edney or Brown & Gammons for advice.
