I don't know who is building or going to drive the car that the Rocket Engine is going into. I think it might be the person who used to have a jet car(his name slips my mind). There was a post about a year ago that he was selling the jet and building a Rocket Car.
Whoever it is I hope he has got somewhere to run the car I don't think Santa Pod will want hydrogen peroxide anywhere near their track. 386mph in 3.58sec will be difficult to beat.blah

Yes there is another photo of the Rocket Engine on the web site. Some big ideas being talked about. I doubt if 7500lbs thrust will beat Miller, then they have to get hundreds of GALLONS of peroxide not the few gallons that Eric Teboul uses.rolleyes

Just out of interest, what's the difference between a rocket and a jet?

Two ways to tell:

1) Rocket has no moving parts, a jet has a turbine blades.
2) Rocket has no intake on the front, a jet does need an intake.

Jet is air burning, a rocket carries it's own oxygen.

The Vanishing Point Vega had a 5,000 lb thrust motor IIRC. The later cars had more.

But did the vega do a 3sec. It certainly was not the really fast/quick car?

Yes it did, it ran 3.94/360. There I was thinking you were a fan of rockets.
