Had noticed in last couple of weeks the headlight switch needed a few flicks for the pods to rise, ok with sidelights. mk1 wedge Lucas type switch i think ?

Driving home at dusk last night pods come up ok 2 miles up road they just dropped, after a few flicks up again ok for about 10 mins i thought i could smell something getting a bit warm took radio blank out and felt rear of switch which was hot to touch.Pods dropped again managed to get home on cibies.

Sidelights work ok, all fuses ok, pods will lift and stop up by using the stalk so am i right in thinking the relays are ok which i can hear clicking when using the stalk
and the problem is in the headlight position of the switch? All other electrical working ok

Thanks for any advise

Take the switch to bits and clean all the contacts they get very dirty because they are not covered up ,also when u take it to bits look at the crimped over terminals if they are loose this maybe the problem they are makeing and breaking try tapping them back tight or better still use a bit of soilder on each terminal or even get a new switch .I have had a light switch problem on my LOTUS they use the same S**T Lucas Components!!
