Steady on Tiger. He may have got the hat-bit wrong, but his 'classic' was the bit he put in quotation marks.
It's all in fun!

Female client yesterday.

Your guys are tiling over the old tiles?

Me: Yes

Her: But that will make my bathroom smaller.....
And the doors probably won't fit and they will be a nightmare to rip up in the future. If I were her I'd be asking a lot more questions and looking for someone to do a proper job.
Really ? Even if they are wall tiles ?
I was always told old tiles providing they are sound, were a great substrate to tile onto.

Mind you that was by a tiler!

It's not great but its an annoying thing my girlfriend does

Received a text from her this morning

'Babe guess what I got from sainsburys this morning! A BBQ pulled pork baguette! Yummy See you tonight xxx'

Why ask me to guess then tell me in the next line!?

She does it all the bloody time

Or she will text me and say

'Babe you'll never guess who I saw this morning not seen her in ages'

No I will never guess, nor will I try, nor do I actually care!

Not from the Mrs, but was driving home when I noticed a mid 20s female press the button on a pelican crossing.

What of it? You may ask.

All the traffic lights were covered up and the crossing wasn't operational.

She may still be there waiting. It is a busy road!

Seemingly if they are up there good and solid then it's a perfectly good base to use I am told.
Which is why I had to chisel off 3 layers of the bds when I did my kitchen, the bathroom isn't looking right good either (tiles shouldn't be flush with door architrave should they?)

Fitting new without removing old just doesn't sit well with me at all. I couldn't give a st if it makes it easier for the tiler.

When people call their spouses or partners babe, darling, sweetheart and the like, it's because they have someone else on the go and they don't want to risk getting the names mixed up. So both get called babe, just to be on the safe side.

Sorry to be the one to have to break it to you.

Young blonde female doctor when I was shadow shifting another driver;

"Look, no one is driving that lorry in front!"

She was looking at the cab of the brand new digger it had on its trailer hehe She quickly realised what she had said and went very red! smile
