which tom tom?

Hi all,i'm thinking of giving in and buying a sat nav,a tom tom seems to be the one to have,but which one,i'm looking for uk mapping but with the option of european and u.s. maps at a later date.I,ve been looking at the tom tom one for £99 or the one iq for £124. So is the one up to the job or should i go for the iq,thanks for the help guys i've been looking at halfords web site and theres to much choice!
As far as I know they can all take the same maps. Older ones used SD cards but it's all internal on the newer ones so make sure you can fit the maps you want on it. The main differences as you go up the range tend to be the additonal features like bluetooth handsfree and the ability to display photos and play music, however one of the most usefull features on my Rider is the ability to set a series of waypoints. The more basic models no longer have that function and can only navigate to a destination.
