I always drive with no aids (clutch doesn't count in my book) and I'm using TCS this time. Why do I always choose cars/tracks that I'm crap at Same, undriveable (at least fast) without. How comes you have a higher PI than me (and the rest of the scoreboard)?

The only friends list bloke I have with the Mazda with the fastest lap is TheJackal GN with a 1:38.
The top 10 are in the 1:31s
I reckon that we should still go with the Merc Touring Car as we should be around the 1:35s and most people will set a faster time than anything they've done previously on that track.
If anyone has done faster then perhaps honesty is the best way.
I really want to do an R class this time and don't have any other solution.
Thoughts please. I think doing 1:35s will be rather tricky, I just did a few laps and could manage a 1.40 but dont think i could shave off an entire 5 seconds from that. It's upto you seeing as you won the last trial Asterix, but in the actual timetrials part of the game (Leaderboards > Time Trials) the Silverstone GP is done using an R2 #009 Aston DBR9, so unless you really specifically wanted to use the Merc DTM cars that might be an avenue to explore? Ok f k it - DBR it is. May the best PHer win cool... as there are a few DBR's we can get some different paint jobs Make sure you do it in the time trials section tho mate, only the #009 or we're not gunna be able to record our scores... ...so i'm slightly hijacking here but: !!From the Menu, go to "Leaderboards", then to "Time Trials", then scroll down to Silverstone and select start race. The only car that is used is the R2 class #009 Aston Martin DBR9!! so i cant use the 007 car?? what difference does it make??

Yeah how come yor PI is 847 instead of 827? There is no option to apply a tune in Time Trial.

I've not been following this today. Is the final decision the Aston DBR R2 car at Silverstone GP circuit? Can the Aston be modified within the R2 PI numbers?

S3_Graham said: so i cant use the 007 car?? what difference does it make?? Because if you just hotlap with the #007 car then it records your time to the normal scoreboard. If you do the time trial (which forces the use of the #009 car) then it records the time to a seperate scoreboard where we'll be able to compare them more easily, as the normal scoreboard only records your fastest ever time.

Go into Leaderboards, then scroll down a bit and go into Time Trial, then down to Silverstone. These are preset challenges using set cars.

Not getting on with the car in the time trial.
Some corners it'll drift wide when you roll the power on. Others it'll tighten it's line. Which way it go's nobody knows!

Not a clue about the PI - I downloaded a tune from the storefront, applied it during a 'Hotlap' and it was still on there!
Have gone back to standard now.
Edit - maybe I've just found a glitch?

The_Jackal said: Ahh have you actually bought the 009 car as well? Nope - just applied the tune and it carried it over. Saying that - went back to normal and have played around with my own tune to erdicate the understeer and have less oversteer and the car is faster so far. I think we need plenty of time with this car. Shame is I can't get rid of my Merc ghost now...

I say you have to have a maximum PI of the standard car?
Or do we go for it and rewrite the rules?

So you can tune the 007 prize car in your garage and it applies the tune to the 009 car in the time trial?

Ok - I'm all for the integrity of racing, be it fair racing, talking during races so that there is fair passing etc...
Let's stick with the standard PI for the car.
However, interpret that you wish.
At the end of the day, all cars must confirm to the standard PI for the DBR out of the box, as it reads on the Leaderboards.

How do you apply a tune? Ormodify settings? Can't see the option on the menu?

So you have to actually buy the 009 Aston and tune it. Well I wont be wasting money on another of the same car, even for a fraction of a second.
