2008 E Class, Remove Front Bumper Strip With Park Sensor

Can anyone tell me how to remove the strip on the front bumper that has the parking sensor in, its the near side. Do I need to remove the bumper?

If it is the same as an SL it pulls out, gentle levering from the outer end.

No Mark that wont work; it looks like the strips are moulded to the bumper, does it need to come off?

Just spoke to Merc who assure me they do clip in place and are very stiff to move.
At the corner of pdc strip nearest the side of the car, push in and forwards,
a plastic instrument would be best to save the possibility of scratching the paint.
