New Command Module

Hi,
Anyone know where I can get hold of a 2nd hand command module for a mercedes r-class?
My little boy has poked coins into the sat nav slot and caused just the Sat nav has stopped working. Mercedes were going to do the repair under warranty but then said as there were foreign objects in the unit I would need to pay the £3000 to get it replaced.

Any ideas? I don't have £3k kicking around spare!!

Can you not claim on your insurance ? If he had ran a bike in it or kicked a football at it and dented the door you would be coverd so you may be able to claim.

Well they will probably by British spec ... MB dealerships had a spate of Comand thefts from cars earlier in the year, traced to Lithuanian gangs I seem to recall!
