Just looking at these , what is needed to complete the conversion , what discs etc and any drilling etc .do i need different pads , i have the early 252mm rear solid discs , thought the conversion would be the best way to go with my the front upgrade .

Hi Daren, you need the 273mm rear vented discs with those calipers(wider claw)but you need different bearing carriers(holes spaced 10mm further out from centre)you re-use your hub flanges, wheel bearings are the same but strongly recommend changing them, done this upgrade this year wink YHM concerning the carriers hehe dont expect noticeable stopping power but i needed to replace a lazy caliper and i already upgraded the fronts some time ago so thought what the hell hehe i used that very same Ebayer for the calipers no problems A+,also went to the bother of repacing the handbrake cable NOS Gen Ford,i now have a reasonable handbrake that works well with out pulling the lever out the car laugh

What year is your car Darren ?

I have recently upgraded the rears, straight swap, and new vented discs.

What for the bearing carriers? they are not Pt numbered anyway, new ones would be of no benefit unless the bearings have spun in the housings,i was quoted over a ton + VAT each at a Ford dealer for new ones(still available)a good s/hand pair should need nothing more than new bearings and a lick of paint wink Roysum your car already as the later rear brake spec fitted(bigger&vented)Silicone kid as the early spec solid rears they are not a direct swap to the bigger&vented spec wink

It's the Cossie 300mm rear kit, comes with new brackets and rotors/bells. Seems to balance the setup nicely. You're welcome to pop over and have a look if you want.

I have the early set up , 252mm solid , they do look a bit pathetic .I just wanted to bring them up to the same spec as the front cossie set up .. I`m still not sure what i need to complete the conversion .it now seems very complicated .I would be interested in the later standard set up what would i need and is it a bolt off bolt on job .

300 rears would be overkill for a Cossie front set up IMO

Interesting link, some cars stand out that much they get their own section, not just under a particular manufacturer!
