Hi, I remember reading somewhere about some kind of plug-in techno gubbins available to improve the throttle reaction times on a W208 but can't for the life of me remember what it was called. Anyone?

BTW, it's getting from a standing start to 60mph in 6.5sec exactly at the moment, is that about right for a 430 V8 cabrio?

Thanks

It is a sprint booster... but not sure if a 208 430 has a DBW throttle.. cant remember if mine did..

now if you want to make it faster....

you could source some C43 AMG cams... which wont be cheap.

or (as I did to mine) change the airfilters, remap and delimit, and eisenmann exhaust... which will make it "adequate" however dont go for the "race" exhaust option (and remove the central resonator) unless you want to feel like you are at Daytona.. wish i had a vid of my old one as it gave the Tusc with carbon cans a run for aural presence.

I have seen that UK Chips are quoting a remapped power of 326BHP, which is rather higher than the 300BHP that others quote. Which airfilters did you go for?

mine was mapped by motorsport developments in blackpool and the filters were Jetex - with a "home brew" heatshield on the bottom of the airbox...

i would post a pic but i cant find them.... twas a long time ago. (2002)

Funny thing about the sprint booster - it takes the slack out of the accelerator pedal and produces no extra power..

.. why not just mash the peda if you want to go quicker ?
