comand with iphone and ipod adaptor

i have an iphone which i want to use in my car as an ipod... so i connect up to the ipod adaptor, but then i can't use it as a phone....if music is playing and the phone rings, the music cuts out but i can't pick up the call as the phone is in the glove compartment.

i haven't bought the cradle for the phone, but if i do, will i be able to use the iphone to play music.

anyone else have this really lame problem?

any suggestions?

The IPhone cradles have the ability to connect to the ipod interface via an optional cable. Otherwise a bluetooth cradle would do it.

Yes you would, but you would then need the additional cable, you can only have one or the other fitted, iphone or ipod.
