So what hidden gems do we have in EA? Do we have an equivalent of the Snake Pass?

I do like a good blast along the Hethel road between Wymondham and Mulbarton, past the Lotus factory.

The road from hemsby to stalham is a gem on a summers day...

It has some great bends that you can see all the way round so full comitment is achieved !...

hunstanton coast can be fun but it once took me 3 hours to get from bacton to kings lynn after work,and i was in the vx turbo at the time. My favorite is the B1145 from gayton to litcham

A146 turn off into hales, then blast through there to haddiscoe.
If you havn't done it before, its worth having a go. You can thank me afterwards

Awesome stretch of road and exceptionally close to where I live, great fun in any car and well worth a go.

The road is two minutes from me, If I'm riding to cjball to get something for the bike il always come home via yarmouth and acle straight

Hence my qualification - royal weddings and funerals or large popular sporting events - the great unwashed are all sitting behind a TV or in a Pub - road is then empty and it's a great drive

Big problem is frequency of those events that keep people glued to a TV but I'm happy to wait

That's a good road, but if you're only going as far as Litcham you're missing out the best bit (IMHO), you need to carry on to Bawdeswell - the bit between Stanfield & North Elmham is brilliant.

I can also recommend, and prefer, the B1153 from Gayton to Docking, followed by the B1155 to Burnham Market and then B1355 to Fakenham.

The B1146 - Fakenham to Brisley, B1110 - Guist to Holt, and B1149 Holt to Norwich are pretty good as well.

The A1065 Munford - Fakenham ain't bad, but is heavily patroled by camera vans.

I just drove from Aylsham to Dereham this morning via Cawston and Reepham. It's fairly good and didn't have a lot of traffic. You do have to be very careful about the risk of mud and fallen leaves at the moment.

The turns near Watton on the Dereham road aren't bad either but only last a mile or so. This time of year the grass is short and hedges making visibility really good. It's more dangerous now they've put all the safety signs up to crash into.

We aren't talking about high speed hoons here most of the roads mentioned above can be fun at well below the speed limits - therefore fine free

Touring Remos got it right, brilliant bit of road A146 through to haddiscoe, I live in bradwell just a few miles down the road from it.

I reckon if you guys are ever heading that way, it's not to miss. Purely to see the normal upside down Clio that doesn't hold the road quite so well when they're 4 people up.

I'm not local to anyone here but I do love that Gayton road, stayed in Gayton one year and Little Dunham a couple of times.

The "hilly part of Norfolk" feels like home to me, I love it.

p.s these roads seem to drive better without the missus in the car
