lights/window/hazard switches
Discussion
Got my switches from a scrap TR7, They are not all the same, but they are a modular construction so you can mix'n match most bits. Be careful with the outer bit with the lettering, try and keep the original so the lettering style is correct. watch out for the number of pins on the back and try not to crack parts as you dissassemble...They were intended to be clipped togrther one way, never "serviced", and to be exchange units only....and to last about a week after the warranty ran out !!

Does this also apply to the Series 2 350i? I am looking for a new three position heater fan switch.
Cheers
Phil
The heater switch is notorious for burning the contacts and/ or melting the plastics!
If you can get it stripped and it's just the contacts, you can often get away with just cleaning them up (wife's nail file ).
On my 390, I added a relay to the high speed position so that it's the relay that takes the load, not the switch. Should last forever now...
