This EU Legislation doesn't come in until 2012-2013.
I suggest you simply find another supplier!
That does not mean a tyre manufacturer will not plan ahead and replace what they currently have with something conforming to the incoming legislation.I suggest you simply find another supplier!
They won't produce them up to the new legislation and then be stuck with loads of useless stock.
You will of course be able to find existing stock somewhere for quite a while.

fk the EU and their road noise!
Ironically, I have found them to be really quiet on my car, much quieter then other premium brands.
More EU B/S!

So there are thousands of 4x4s, trucks and lorries going up and down motorways daily with massive noisy tyres on them and they are worried about a nominal difference on car tyres.
These prats must sit in meetings all day everyday, planning what ridiculous and pointless concept they can come up with next...

The actual reason is the mandatory adoption of low rolling resistence tyres for CO2 reasons, with lower road noise a secondary benefit. These prats must sit in meetings all day everyday, planning what ridiculous and pointless concept they can come up with next...
Still a load of crap, mind.
Yes, they are available for a while but being phased out as the new CO2 and road noise pollution legislation comes into effect in 2011. Falken are no longer listing the FK452 from depots.
I asked at my local Falken stockist who pretty much sell them and nothing else!
Saw the info on his screen.
I really rate them as do many on here.
Hope the 912 is better for the money, although I may go Vredestein to see what they are like after seeing good reviews.

The ZE912 was a replacement for the ZE512, it's aimed at a different segment. The FK912 as per the OP doesn't exist.
The FK452 was a replacement for the FK451. I don't see them withdrawing it from market without a FK453 ready to go.
The tyre industry is shockingly bad for disinformation. No need to get upset yet. I'll see what i can get from contacts.

Thanks for doing some digging - I hope the info they gave me is wrong too!

Call me stupid (and by that, I mean, don't literally call me stupid!) but if there is a reduced rolling resistance, does that mean lower grip performance???
Despite what you may have been tricked into believing from the bks spewed out whenever another eco-tax, or speed limit enforcement program is implimented, our unelected governing overlords couldn't give a st about road safety.Gazado said:

Yes and no. While an ultra low rolling resistance tyre will never match our ultra high performance summer tyres, the new breed of ULRR tyres aren't as far of "regular" tyres as they used to be.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
