Black Hawk Steel Band (no, not that sort of steel band). Click

I wonder what it's like in real life?

I'm betting every bit as cheap as it looks tbh. Shame as the watches themselves seem to be well liked by many. The spec-ops christmas tree version just screams tat to me though.

The yellow light is quite blinding. The blue light is good at night. The charging mechanism is quite interesting. Need to charge it about once every 45-60 days depending on how often you show off the lights to your mates...

Keeps fairly accurate time and is a much better "sacrificial lamb" than the Rolex for when you might be doing something grimey, dirty, etc.

Not for me as I can't do all black watches, but they are very nice in the metal. My brother-in-law has one and it is a nice heavyweight piece of kit and he is a trainee electrician and gets put through a lot and comes out looking good at the end of the day

Aren't you supposed to take the decorations down on the 12th day?

I couldn't get over the idea of wearing a military-styled watch with 'SPECIAL OPS' written in bold on it, when the closest I get to the military is that my brother in law is in the SAS. It's all a bit 'trying FAR too hard' to me... Plenty of other 'tough' watches for dirty jobs... why not use what the real 'special forces' use... G-shocks...

Got a "deal" on it from a mate that needed the money. He had two (never worn - they are the type as above but with the velcro band) and offered them to me in lieu of paying me back... I told him that I would wait but he said he didn't have any use for them anyway and didn't know when or if he could pay me back, so I told him fine.

I use one and gave the other to my son (8 years old) who really likes the light up face bit.

Prior to acquiring said watches, I used to just wear no watch when performing car maint, etc. But I like having this one and it comes in handy...

What kind of special ops person would want to wear a watch that flashes bright lights to identify where they are in the dark?

doesn't make much sense to me.

The blue is subdued. Very hard to see at night. The amber can be used for signaling if you want, I would guess. I use the amber for finding stuff I drop into the engine bay or to augument my substandard "workshop" lighting when I'm working on a pc. Ever drop a motherboard/hard drive/graphics card screw when swapping them out? It helps...
