E430 Merc Estate: Advice re Purchase

Over the last two years I have covered 30,000 miles in a 1997 320E Estate. Great car, and have been impressed with the build quality and reliability. However, recently I have considered updating to an E430. I would be very thankful if anybody could advise me whether there is anything I should be particularly aware of with this model. Thanks.
