Very close to buy a 1989 300sl r107 = inspection??

I am very close to buy a 1989 merc 300 sl r 107 advestised as 'mint'. The price is towards the top of the range so I am a little nervous.

I have been buying and selling porsches for the past 10 years and comfortable when it comes to get the right people to look a car prior to me buying it.

Never had a Merc and although I can spot obvious signs of wear, or incorrect mileage, or corrosion, or worn discs and pads or various mechanical items, I would be more comfortable to be assisted by a proper expert upon purchase.

The car is located near Birmingham and I am based in London. Any idea of who could help?

I am happy to pay a reputable expert to inspect the car for me..
