Just arrived at work in Chineham at 9.15 after leaving Sandhurst at 6.30 this morning.. looks like Basingstoke council have not done very much to the roads AGAIN.. this after my homeward journey took 6 HOURS last month... Lessons learned perhaps?

So, knowing how bad the roads would be again, did you by any snowchains, snowsocks or winter tyres?

nope... just figured that as I pay a vast amount of council tax every month to ensure that the roads are usable, the council would not be so ill - prepared twice in the same winter... once... possibly, twice... inexcusable.

Isn't the majority of the ringroad trunk routes? In which case the government (ie Labour!) are responsible for gritting that bit!
