A little help please,

Really want to buy a new watch, Chrono, black leather on clasp, Really like the Oris BC4 Chrono, but due to buying a house, cant quite manage to convince the boss that £1500 on a watch is better than a new sofa! frown

So.........I have come up with this.....smile

What do you all think?

Cheers

I like it, it looks great.

For £195? . . Brilliant!

I like it on a bracelet too.

For £209?

Assuming it doesn't look really nasty up close. hehe

Decent enough. I like the look of it, too.

More importantly, how much will you regret the compromise when you put it on? 'cos it isn't dirt cheap either- it will continue to be 10% of the price of the one you really wanted. And you won't get that back.

Thumbs up from me too. I think it's a great looking chronograph for the price.

OK, it's a little pricier, but still a lot cheaper than the Oris, and it's a real watch you'll be happy to keep :

PRC200 Automatic chronograph. 200M WR, sapphire glass, proper movement.

Dig around and you can find them new around £350.

I think it's a bargain - it would be my choice at the price point.

My friend has this very watch. It is very nice and feels a lot more than its cost. I also assume as its from a proper watch maker that if it does get scratched / damaged it can be repaired unlike a D&G / Armani style one.

Thank you for all your comments, my new watch arrives tomorrow - hopefully smilesmile! Look out for it in the picture bit, I'm sure I'll be too excited to leave it in it's box 'til the weekend. It feels like christmas all over again. Wouldn't it be good if you got a new watch everyday! apart from maybe the more practical problem of actually wearing them all!

I went for the one that I originally picked out - hopefully it looks as good in the metal - although out of stock so will take 2 days to deliver frown - I WANT IT NOW!

I have a TAG 2000 exclusive and wanted a bigger faced Chrono on leather with metal clasp rather than another metal bracelet - although it does look good on the metal. I have a thing about metal bracelets that don't have a good weight to them like some of the Rolex's feel a little cheap (even though they are obviously not)!

Thanks again for all your comments and help. I hope to be asking for more advice on future purchases soon..........

Given my recent watch-spending, yes.

I should take up heroin, it'd be much cheaper! wink

Not the most social of habbits I wouldn't think?!!

This latest purchase is my 3rd watch so I have a small but hopefully growing collection, although I can't quite yet afford the Paneri that I want! What does your spending spree include?

Anyone else in the market for the £200 range, what think you of these?

£200 for a swiss automatic chronograph. Tempting.

That Swatch watch above isn't bad for the price. You're thinking of buying it, aren't you? wink

Personally prefer the Tissott one OP bought.

Too much! wink

JAYB, that seems to be a nice watch for the money.
I'd be hard pushed to decide between that and the Automatic Tissot though... scratchchin

biggrinbiggrin It has arrived and I must say i wasn't expecting it to be as good as it is for the money. Very happy - can't wait to wear it this weekend.... biggrinbiggrin

And very impressive box with a book on the complete history of Tissot and a catalogue of their entire range - now that is brilliant marketing!
