His widow has been using it in the Caribbean this winter.

Was a big ugly thing...

Nice, it didn't appear to have any name on it, either that or it had been covered.

Very mysterious tongue out

Another classic broad brush and general guess article from DM.

Gives you an idea for sure, but all the figures definitely need taken with a pinch of salt.

Im working in Spain this week and came across Azzam in Tarragona, its the first time I had seen her in the flesh she is truly enormous. Pelorus was on the other side of the port and she just looked so normal, but I can remember the first time I saw her in Antibes about 10 years ago and being even more blown away by the size than I was today with Azzam, probably because the whole industry was very new to me.

I've never understood the lack of desk space either, but hell you don't want to be sitting out in the sun in the Arabian Gulf. Basically just floating gin palaces away from prying eyes.

Non-alcoholic sparkling fruit drink palaces, of course.

'Savannah' - quite big, and no doubt expensive... fascinating drone coverage...

Is that one of those Dutch shed builds that's too big to get out of the canal?

do you think there is a tick box on the order form where you can have the Fincantieri badge removed?

52 crew. What a waste of time. No privacy, no matter how discrete. 52 crew is a boat load.

she will take 24 guests apparently which means passenger certificates etc.
4 or 5 deck officers, 4 or 5 engineer officers, motormen and fitters, 15 to 20 deck hands, 15 to 20 stewardesses/housekeepers, pilots, chefs, laundry - it all adds up!
The most crew I ever sailed with at one time was 60 and that was on a boat smaller than Serene.

100% correct however, no privacy

i don't doubt the need for 50 crew. I love sailing/fishing and have done a lot of it. I like peace and quiet. Each to their own i guess but i can't help feel it's nothing more than an expression of wealth first and everything else second.

I've sailed on a yacht with 25 crew for an Arab Queen and her 2 daughters. The only crew they ever saw was myself and the skipper.
