Hi guys, i usually only frequent in the Porsche area but need some advice. Family member wants to upgrade his standard 17inch alloys from his 2004 SL350 to 18 or 19 inch AMG alloys. Question is are the relplica ones any good and what kind of price should you be paying for replicas and for the real thing?

Just doing some reading with regards to replicas and various websites are claiming that the replicas are not tested properly and start to corrode earlier? Any advice welcome.

i would try to buy used but genuine ones . plenty of them around as people upgrade to other rims.
have seen some shocking replicas which do not last and have a poor finish. i needed some tyres for my car . a set of four cost £800+ . i could have bought 4 wheels and tyres from ph classifieds for £600
they were 18" bbs milans. worth the money without the tyres.
try a few aloy wheel places , they sometimes buy the existing wheels for peanuts.
