i was asked today what the cost off my 350i 1987 s2 was when new and i was lost for words which it unsual for me, any one got a rough cost off the s2 when they first come out

For what it's worth,( anorak mode :ON: ) my Jan 1987 copy of Fast Lane lists the 350i convertible with a price of £17865 and the 420 SEAC at £29500. (That compares with £73647 for a Countach - so sounds about right to me)

Update - Autocar 1990 list a 1987 350i at £18015. Concensus says about 18K then.
