Car has gone crazy!!! help

hi. i started driving my car (W210 E320 cdi), and pulled over to for a few seconds, whilst parked i heard the car was revving high, had a look and it was revving at 2k rpm...
so i switched off the car, and when i put it back on it just revs straight to redline- i repeated this a few times. and one time all the electrics stopped working in the car- indicators,wipers,seats,windows etc...
carrried on switching it on and off and it either revs to redline (then i just put myfoot ont he brake to cut the revs down or switch it off) or it revvs to around 2000.
anyone got any ideas?
it does this in P,R,N,D - so when in D and R, it starts pulling away and picking up speed by itself
anyone experienced this? am very confused lol

Dont know what the problem is but I would not be driving the car at all as the engine is quite liable to shove a piston through the block.

Get the car on to a tow truck and take it to your garage and tell them everything you have said here.

Agreed, with it redlining at random its not drivable. Are these electronicly controlled throttles? could be something in that if it is.
