2 new Damasco models, around £2,000:
Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
This year will show some novelties by Damasko, which will also include our own watch movement. New models and a possible steel strap will follow.
First of all, the following two models will appear in order to introduce our new technologies.
Damasko DC66 Si and Damasko DC67 Si
We have based this new release on our tested models DC66 and DC67, and have replaced the steel spring by our silicon spring on the conventional ETA escapement, as well as the balance wheel by our Gyromax screw balance and the complete balance bridge. The spring barrel was also exchanged - into a stronger variant of the main spring, for optimal power reserve and chronometer quality. And apart from that, the rotor plus rotor bearing with ceramic balls for lubricant-free operation.
From now on, our watches will generally be delivered with movement values in chronometer quality (without certificate).
These two models will be available within the next 6 weeks and then be offered at an introductory price initially.

It needs to lose the horrible red bezel dot and I'm not a fan of the red 'Si' marking either 
There is some clever additions to the movement, but as someone else on TZ-UK said, if it is capable of Chronometer time keeping, how come Damasko didn't opt for a CSOC certificate?
I'd still choose the DC56 over these ...

What on earth is that supposed to mean? You might get one with a chronometer movement, you might not, but even if you do it's not good enough to be certified?Sold .. like it, want one, got the funds . . . issue is the debate between this or a U1 or U2 as I want a weekend/holiday watch that'll take the knocks. I also want an Aquatimer to go with my other IWC, but that's gonna have to wait . .
I like the red, like I like the yellow UTC hand on Sinn's. It's no bad thing to introduce some colour to a watch in my view if it's done appropriately to the style and there's some reasoning for it.
The 'Si' does look a little like the script you may see on the back of a Nova, but they're evidently keen to differentiate the Si's from the original/standard 66's & 67's. You could of course argue that the red dot and red second hand could do that and I wouldn't necessarily disagree.
Given these are introductory prices at £2200 / €2500 with a significantly re-worked movement, how much is their own full in house movement watches going to be ?
It seems to be the intermediate stage from re-working bought in movements to their own in-house where perhaps they will re-design the face/design etc ?
