Jason is selling a few very nice original vintage Rolex at present.

The £50,000 watch you refer to was a British Military issue Rolex Submariner 5513. A later version than Jason's, featuring and different dial, bezel, solid strap bars and the issue number on the case back.
These, the Comex Sub and the Paul Newman dial Daytona are probably the 3 most sought after vintage Rolex sports pieces....

That's a lovely watch. Particularly nice with all its paperwork and boxes. And this guy has more to sell? Can't wait to see what's coming. My chequebook is creaking open...

Hi Guys.

This is probably the last of my little collection I'm moving on for now, apart from I have a very early rare 1969 red sub that is minty mint and i'm not sure what to do with it - heart says keep keep keep but brain says you have another one idiot, so whats the point?!

This Gilt dial one is very nice (to be fair rolex vintage sports is a massive passion for me, maybe even more than my cars at the minute and I usually only buy mint examples).

I honestly think this is where the investment money will be going forward. The milsubs, comex and newmans have risen sharply dragging up the likes of double red seadwellers too. Thats left a bit of a gap and I think this will be filled by pre 67 rolex subs tbh. The numbers of remaining minty ones like this are small and the number of 50's and 60's subs now coming to market is very small too. Supply and growing demand will drive these much higher i think.

I should keep the gilt dial too tbh but I just want to reduce the number in the collection a bit....and as I know you all like pics here are a few of them...

oh mustn't forget the one that started all the madness.....

If anyone has any questions feel free to PM me smile

Lovely watches
Jason,

You have impeccable taste - a really nice collection there. Oh and if your forum name comes from your choice of Porsche, nice work there too...

Good luck with moving them on.

Cheers Stuart.

Just got this yesterday. Tudor 79170 Big Block. Never ever had a watch fit my wrist so well, the case size is just perfect...all watches should be made in this case from now on imho!!

Having second thoughts on moving the gilt....

What size is the case? Lovely things - I've often thought about a Tudor as a sports watch simply because they're comparatively unknown, apart from those that know, if you catch my drift...

If Mike cashed in the collection, he could have a magnificent selection of the finest Fezza's....

Mikes not a car man...he's a watch man and should stay that way smile

Was with him yesterday and saw his latest magic friday pick-ups.

His new 5517 sub is an absolute peach, a real beauty.

I love how the advert for a geniune and extremely rare Rolex, has a banner advert for a $49 fake Rolex underneath it.
