Right, i have a mk16 iwc pilots.
it's got a crocadile strap and i wear it every day.

how can i care for the strap to stop it doing the weird vinegar watchstrap thing?

Don't wear it so tight you sweat underneath the strap? silly

Sweat is absorbed by the strap and after a while gives it a distinct sweaty/vinegary smell hurl

hence why i don;t want it to go like that hence is there any sort of Fairy type stuff i can buy to keep it clean?

Nice watch that. Not sure about the strap you have but like the NATO idea also if you were to replace then Jurgens make a tropical strap,

'A sheet of Gore-Tex materiel is sandwiched between the outer strap leather and a sheet of pliable black rubber to protect the strap from persperation. Very handy for hot climates, but suitable for all climates.'

really like the look of these straps & could do with getting a couple myself.
