Carrera Sports Strap.

just a quick enquiry as to why a carrera sports strap will not fit onto a carrera twin time watch?
been to the tag heuer dealer and they insist it will fit but when the strap arrived it would'nt fit onto the clasp as it appeared to thick.
the watch has now been sent to tag heuer as they cannot understand why it is'nt fitting correctly.
could it be that the chrono carrera has a different thickness clasp?
help would be appreciated.
