Don't think you can stop it on those.

you can 'hack' the seconds on that movement. if you gently turn slightly and hold the winder anti clockwise also with a little pressure to teh rear of the crown you will see the second hand stop.

only a slight movement it works I just tried it on mine might be easier if teh wath is not wound up fully

Thanks, I'll try that then, the reason I ask is when I first set the time I'm sure the second hand stopped, now it makes sense as I was just trying to turn the crown back on forth to set the day/date, you know how you do, without reading the instructions first, Dohh

Cheers

Andrew

see my edit I assume if you were seting it for the first time the spring would not have been fully wound up so may have been easier.

Just tried it on mine which has not been wound for a while and it stopped quite easily.

although IIRC you can stop it with a bit of fiddling when it is fully wound

just to be clear thats with the crown fully out

Pesty, is that actually ok for the mechanism? Sounds a bit dodgy, that's all.

hmmm I dont know to be honest

I would have thought not you are not pushing or forcing anything after all you can wind it either way and the second hand will stop briefly as you change direction on the crown.
